In honor of Stefan's new book and Rhett's new album, the two will discuss their work and the artistic vs. investigative process.
Stefan Fatsis is a journalist who has written for the AP, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, Slate, and many more publications. His book Unabridged: The Thrill of (and Threat to) the Modern Dictionary was released in October 2025. The book details his time as an embed at the dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster as well as the history of the dictionary as a document and tool.
Rhett Miller is a singer-songwriter and the frontman for the Old 97s. He is currently on tour promoting his 2025 release, A Lifetime of Riding by Night. He has also written two children's books illustrated by Dan Santat, No More Poems and The Baby Changing Station.
